Now that you’re following Oprah on Twitter — and hopefully Working World — you may be wondering what exactly is the future of this thing?

I had a wonderful experience attending the Social Media for Business Conference at Stanford University on May 5, 2009. It was inspiring to be in a room with people who are passionately embracing the new frontier. Reps from Facebook, DirecTV, Dell, Digg, Mashable and many others spoke. I am having fun creating Working World communities on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, and of course, through….blogging!

Kudos to founders Gravity Summit Beverly Macy and Rodney Rumford for making it all happen. Here is an imprompu interview I did with them while driving home from dinner the night before the conference. I lead with the question: “What is the future of Twitter?”
