Piercings on the Cover of Working World?

ww352-copy

THERE ARE MANY things to consider when we select the cover images for Working World. Is the photograph eye-catching? Is the person representative of the people who read the magazine? Is the image professional without being stuffy?

Regarding piercings and tattoos, it’s a judgment call whether to Photoshop them out. In the case of the latest cover, we decided to let the model’s discreet facial jewelry stand.  However, we edited out the piercings on a prior cover since it was the Job Fair issue.

    It’s so today!

  2. I think it sends the wrong message to have them in yoru models as many employers, expecially where employees deal wit the public are concerned with image. Having the models wearing them says to applicants that it is acceptable to interview with piercings when it really is not for most employers except maybe head shops selling drug accessories or punk rock industry businesses.

I think the piercing stinks. Hate it. It doesn’t belong on your cover.

    Always photoshop them out.
